Banksy storyboarded & directed the opening sequence of The Simpsons. If you’re unfamiliar with what Banksy does, then be warned as it’s a little, uh…dark.

Your Art Here—an online art contest by H&M

The world is filled with talented artists. Recognizing that talent is becoming increasingly difficult. That is why H&M now introduces ‘Your Art Here’ – an all styles visual arts contest, with a New York City theme – giving aspiring artists the opportunity to gain valuable exposure by exhibiting the winning artist’s work in the window of the H&M store located at 42nd Street and 5th Avenue in New York City.

The winner will also receive:

  • $5,000 stipend to support an up-and-coming art career
  • $500 H&M gift card
  • Roundtrip airfare and accommodations in New York City while installing the piece in the store window.
  • Up to $15,000 installation budget.

Mr. Brainwash is even on the jury! But you better get to it—entries need to be received by October 15th.

Found: Poster of Obama as The Joker from The Dark Knight on an LA freeway onramp, reminding the homeless and any unusually observant drivers of the scary evils of socialism.

Never mind that most countries in the industrialized first world practice some form of democratic socialism, yet have managed to not fall into an abyss of tyranny while at the same time providing a strong social safety net and decent quality of life for most of its citizens, even those at the bottom. In fact, when it comes to this type of quality of life, Europe pwns America.
